It's the boss you face when you're playing only as Blanca trying to
rescue Yuri and co. It's got two dog heads, hits with attacks like
Splash, Poison, then Deadly Poison if it hits you with Poison again,

In a brief moment of stupidity, I didn't realize that they were ordered
by "comment" from Gepetto at the top to Lucia at the bottom. So I ended
up choosing the option "...(Don't look at her...)..." or whatever and
she ended up taking Lucia. ... I hate Veronica. ah yes. how was Metal Gear Blanca? One of the left field, but awesome, things to happen so far in the game. I about died when the scene quickly switches to him against the wall in the shadows. --- "It bugs the crap out of me when someone talks more than I do." |

That's what I ended up doing toward the end. Pretty easy to take care of them in a couple of turns. Although, I have a question. I have that "Fifth Key" item that says it spins the Judgement Ring five times. Does that mean you get five attacks or that you do it, attack, do it again, etc. or something entirely different? --- "It bugs the crap out of me when someone talks more than I do." |

the ring will spin five times. with yuri, you'll get 25 hits max, with
the ring speeding up each time. challenging, but if you nail it you
absolutely destroy the enemy. in other words, save it for a tough boss. --- xyzzy |

Oh, I see. Man, nailing all of those would be pretty crazy with Yuri --
probably doing somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 damage. Heh.
Awesome. I thought about using it during the boss battle with Blanca, but ended up dying before I could get the chance. Probably best to just save it since he should be a breeze the second time. --- "It bugs the crap out of me when someone talks more than I do." |

Yeah, I've got him. I've got his Dark, Light, and Fire Fusions,
although I haven't bothered to level up the others since I got Dark.

Yeah, I've got him. I've got his Dark, Light, and Fire Fusions,

Right now, I'm in Petrograd controlling Anastasia. ...Why? -- The Cerberus thing that you fight solo with Blanca was cake the second time through. It helps that I equipped the Shell Bracelet to stop that Poison/D. Poison nonsense. Thanks to Metal Gear Blanca, and getting annoyed with Gepetto's physical attack, I stuck him back into my party. When he's not attacking, I usually have him on buffing for bosses -- like Yuri needs the buffs; but I won't complain about ~215 damage per turn from him! -- Finding the materials so that the prisoned locksmith could make me a key was surprisingly easy. Fetching stuff like that in games is usually so very, very tedious and stupid, but it took only a few minutes to find everything. Loving the design of this game. -- I have to say, at first, I thought the fight against Lenny (or Godhand, rather) was going to be pretty tough. After going through that crazy transformation... he's still a punching bag. Yuri was doing somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 damage per turn after the transformation into Orexis, then ~100 from everyone else. He did Petrify Joachim once, but it was a quick fix, and after that, I don't think he ever even got another turn. Yuri took down his Special Attack power, then his Action Speed decreased by 30% twice, and... yeah. He never attacked me again after about three turns. -- The scene with Bacon, who tries to make everything so dramatic, and Yuri slapping him in the back of the head repeatedly, was hilarious. I think I can get to like Old Man #2. I thought he'd be pretty lame when I first saw him, but he's entertaining. -- BEHOLD THE POWER OF THE BACON JET! -- Finally got to see the leader of the Sapientes Gladio -- Rasputin. He's an ugly looking dude, I'll say that. And he's banging Veronica? Yeesh. No envy here. -- I finally met Anastasia, controlled her for bit, then saved after getting camera. Anyone hyping her needs to be smacked. --- Finish the Fight -- 2007 |

yeah, Anastasia's voice actor really grates on my ears. I remember when
the game was being localized, a guy from Midway was like "I can't wait
for you guys to hear the voice acting. it's amazing... well, except for
Anastasia." Russia is really where the game picks up. wandering Europe is kind of plain and not very interesting -- well, it's awesome the first time through, but it feels kinda tedious on subsequent replays. but Russia? yeah, the game picks up there. --- i do not violation any rules "I hate you for introducing "Man Festival" to my vocabulary." - Heroic Mario |

I'm fully for Disc 1 > 2... I've posted reasons already why I
dislike disc 2 (Though the Alice stuff ALMOST makes up for that) plus

Just saved on the world map. The next destination is the Goreme Valley to meet with Jovis. -- Anastasia is pretty interesting in battle. Snapshotting that picture of the monster that attacks here gives a damn awesome spell -- nice range to hit multiple enemies, does 140-ish damage. I'm not sure if I'll keep her around or not, but getting HP data is nifty. She also comes with some really nice Crests (buffs for all allies). -- Rasputin is a freak. "I've got your little brother in my lap here." Okay, Albedo, what, are you going to stick your hand into him next and feel around? He's offensive looking, his taste in women is horrible at best, and he puts little boys to "sleep" on his lap? Uh huh. Freak. -- Anastasia's one scene where she talks about the problems with Russia and how it's becoming a hellhole was pretty good. I actually kind of liked her there, but that's been her only thing of note so far. And argh the voice. -- The scene where Yuri and co. confront Rasputin after he's put the Palace under that sleeping spell was pretty good. At first, I thought I was going to have to fight Rasputin one-on-one, liked he mentioned, which would have been a breeze since Yuri is pretty much OHKOs normal enemies and rocks bosses faces. But, no, it kept going with the cutscene. I was like "Oh, man, I can finally see some of that badass Yuri kung-fu in a cutscene"... but then Rasputin pulled out *****y shield hax. Also threw in a nice cheapshot with the Mistletoe bit. Yuri's gotta get that thing fixed. -- Anastasia's mother sucks. -- I've upgraded Dark (Nox/Orexis) to level 10, which is apparently as high as the Fusions go. All of my guys are about level 22 or so, too. --- Finish the Fight -- 2007 |

excellent. you should be getting a scene involving Jeanne sometime soon

to unlock the last fusion level. when you do, there will be six items
around the world called "soul drops" that you can use to get the last
soul of whatever class of monster you want. I can lead you to one if
