FF-FFX-2 playthrough log.

Well nothing is really going on in my life right now (No girlfriend, no
job, not in school, all my friends are either in the military or
working two jobs just to live on their own), so i decided why not play
all the FF games? Sadly i've only beat FF7, FF:MQ, and FFX. I've played
FF6, FFX-2, FF8, FF9, and FF1 but for some reason or another i never
got around to beating them. Well anyway im going through all the ones i
have access to (which surprisingly is all but FF4 i believe). Problem
is should i start from start to finish, backwards to forwards, or just
let Board 8 decide? Board 8 pick which FF game i start first. I'm replaying all the ones ive beaten as well because its not like i have anything else to do. FF1: FF2: FF3: FF4: FF5: FF6: FF7: FF8: FF9: FFX: FFX-2: FF-MQ: FF-T: FF-CC: --- "I'm way stronger than Sephiroth. The only thing that can stop me is a truck." Hmm, I think I'm gonna go replay FFMQ, I loved that game. People only
dislike it because it has the FF name while being different from all

How old are you? Just turned 20 last month. I was suppose to be in school, but long story short i dont have the money to go. I'm really not going into detail on that. Lets just say i had a free ride in college but blew it and FAFSA has screwed me over more than helped. In fact FAFSA is the reason im not in school. But anyway seems i confused FF1 with FF3 because i don't remember it being like this.... First 5 min impression on FF1: I made a team for a Fighter, Monk, Thief, and White Mage. Apparently no one can say more than one page of dialogue at a time. The King only use one page of dialogue and he said the same thing everyone else said. I should have just made a team of all Fighters but this is my first playthrough of this game. Ill just keep playing till i get the swing of this. I figured out you save by going into the inn. ^^^^^^Thx anyway though
<3. Ok i assumed each of your characters had equips to begin so no
wonder they were doing ******** damage. I realized i had some funds for
weaponry so i bought some equips and armor. Right now im just trying to
get my first level up and getting more gold to buy better armor. Ill do

I gave him the wooden nunchucks (sp) but ill take your advice instead.
Also one more question should i buy any other spells for my white mage?
I have cure, but i dont know if i should get ruse, harm, and fog

If you're playing the original FFI and not the DoS remake, you should
probably not use the Thief. He's a horrible class until class change
(when he becomes quite good, but it'll be a long while before you get
to that point). Since it's your first playthrough, I recommend
replacing Thief with a class that can cast black magic, either the

^ Ah, good catch. I missed that. Also, can't you save anywhere in the overworld at any time on the DoS version? Actually im playing the original. I got Wizardry Gold on the brain and
apparently i think anyone who uses their fists is a monk o.o Thanks for the advice on thieves ill probably keep him and just change his job when i get the opportunity. Oh and thanks for the tip on fog. I'm wishing i didn't buy harm :( Now i must stop checking this topic and get into the game which is quite fun :D --- "I'm way stronger than Sephiroth. Just defeated Garland and saved the King's daughter. You would think
the game would be over after that. Hooray for subplots. Sara gave me a
lute and now i can go back to the main objective of the game or so i
think..... Btw Harm is teh sexors <3. If you are wondering why it took me so long to do the first part of the game i like to powerlevel in RPGs for some strange reason (Getting to level 100 in FF8 after getting Quistis and getting Ifrit, Shiva, and Queztacoatl all their abilities, getting 3 tier limits breaks for Cloud and Barret and ice 2 and bolt 2 in the first reactor, etc.) In this game i say it is neccessary. Creepers kicked my ass and fighting six wolves at a time isnt exactly that easy especially when you miss every now and then. --- "I'm way stronger than Sephiroth. I'm so dumb i kept hitting a + select. I need to reset my keys. Anyway
im now in the second town training all my people to lvl 6. I just
liberated the pirated infested town and got their ship (It really wasnt

Ok somehow i got lost. This always happens to me in open-ended rpgs.
They give you a ship/vehicle of some kind and nto much direction on
what to do next then i most lost/frustated and end up quitting. However

I found it super difficult to figure out where to go in FF1, there is
really very little guidance in it. It was the only FF where I had to
use a guide just to beat the game. But that's not the only annoying
thing about this game... be ready for a lot of resets if you're not
using save states. --- If brute force doesn't solve your problems, you aren't using enough. |

I went to the Dwarf town and also found two castles one in which the
prince was in a 5 year sleep and the other in which someone wanted a
crown. I finally found the cave that was mentioned just before 3
members of my party got poisoned (i have no pures) and died. Right now
my fighter is stuck in an infinite (2)oddeye gaze and (6) sahag attack

Wow you are going to be pretty screwed when you start coming across enemies who are pretty much immune to physical attacks. Also, DON'T POWER LEVEL Why spend hours and hours to level yourself to the point where there is absolutely no challenge anymore? --- Don't feed the Slithy |

My favorite party, for ease of buttkicking, is Fighter, Fighter, Black Belt (or thief, for later one), Red mage I'm not sure if it was the best party but on my first (and only) playthrough I used a Fighter, Thief and two Red Mages which worked pretty well. Every character did good physical damage while the two red mages combined could easily make up for a lack of a black and a white mage. --- Don't feed the Slithy |

Ok im back in the first cave/dungeon of sorts. I have 32 heal potions,
28 pure potions, and 12 tents. Hope no one dies this time. Btw since
Inns are the only save points you can use tents outside battle right

Pretty sure the first spell item you can get is in the Castle of
Ordeals, where you'd go to change your classes. That's about halfway in I think you'll have to fight Lich before that, but he's undead. Just Harm him into a mud puddle --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |
