I fear that Mystic Quest might end up being on of my favorites maybe
even above X and IV! I'm watching demos right now (yes it has demos i
forgot too) and the gameplay looks solid, no more random encounters
(after playing FF1, 2, 3, and 4 trust me its a welcome change), awesome

You start of the game at the Hill of Destiny. Your village has been
destroyed and the Hill of Destiny itself is sinking into the ground! A
old man mentioned Focus Tower a place where 4 evils will steal power
and divide it among 4 doors. When that happens a Knight (me) will
appear and save the world for destruction! The 4 evils have the keys to
Focus Tower and are draining the power from the 4 crystals of earth
(this plot has been run into the ground) During the converasation a behemoth appeared! I fought it and kill it of course because if i die in my first fight how am i going to save the world? I helped another old man by pushing a boulder out of the way so that he could return to his town. He gave me a Tree Wither that im suppose to show to a girl named Kaeli so that is my first objective. I arrived at the town of Foresta in which i met a young girl named Kaeli. I showed her the Tree Wither and she instantly became concerned about the state of Level Forest (nice name btw) so she grabbed her axe and joined my party. Something has been turning the youth of Foresta into old folks. I don't know if it due to the loss of the Earth Crystal or not but im going to save them! Kaeli axed down a tree and a creature was behind it and it poisoned her! It was a minotaur. <3 Boss Music and <3 how enemies progressively change as you attack them. Also like that the game remembers when command that you input so that you don't have to keep scrolling down to choose a cure potion and such. Like i said this might become my favorite! Oh yeah Kaeli needs an elixir to be cure from the poison of the Minotaur so i have to go to the Sand Temple to obtain it. Next objective ftw! | How can you FF4 > FF3. Sure FF4 is a blast the first time, but the 2nd time is kinda boring. |

Oh yeah i forgot about the battlefields. Basically you fight 10 battles
in a row then you get a prize iirc. Another nice addition to the game
<3. I went back to Level Forest and all chests came back! Talk about broken. Too bad nothing that good was in them to begin with but if they do that in later areas it has the potential to make the game a bit broke but we will see. Ok i got 99 cure potions hehe and now im going to the Sand Temple which has nice music as well. This game has the potential to have better music than FFIII. I opened some treasure chest and a ninja named Tristam appeared. Apparently he got to the elixir before me and tried to charge me money for it! Since i couldn't afford it, in exchange for treasure in the Bone Dungeon Tristam said he would give me the elixir so he joined my party and now im going to the Bone Dungeon :D Finally Basilisk look cool. Took them 5 games to get it down :D LOL! Strong against poison attack my ass. Ok beat the second battlefield that i have encountered. <3 that you can save anyway at anytime. It's going be hard for any FF to beat this sexiness. Birds in diapers....eww. XD. I still can't get over how enemies die in this game! Well Tristam got confused and owned himself with his ninja stars causing himself to be poisoned and paralyzed. Then a Zombie Minotaur used Blinder and finish him off. Luckily another perk of this game, when a sidekick dies, they come back with one hp after the battle <3. Found the Earth Crystal boss Flamerus Rex (XD at the name). OMG i died already o.o It just keeps spamming Rip Earth which does about 75-90 to each of us. Then it did Chew Off which did about 200 dmg -_- I'll beat him this time! Also yay if you die you don't have to start the dungeon all over again. Sweet Life is pretty much Life 2 in this game <3. Interesting attacks this boss has especially Bone Missle. Hooray i won! I didn't konw i was going to die this earlier but oh well. Take that *****! Tristam got what he wanted out of this trip. He found some extend-o claw and he was satisfied. I found a sand coin. Foresta has been restored to its former glory thanks to the Earth
Crystal. Everything was a bright green and everyone who had been aged
due to the curse was now youthful. I gave Kaeli the elixir and she said
she wanted to visit someone named Spencer in Aquaria but i interjected
and said i would go to check it out for her to see if it was safe. So
that is my next goal. To get there i have to go the Focus Tower and go
northeast. I'm guessing the sand coin might be one of the keys i need
for the tower. About to go check it out. I died in a Battlefield encounter i got confused and killed myself with Quake -_- XD at what the main character does after he gets done resting. Im loving this game all over again! Im at Focus Tower and the old man from the beginning of the game was there. He mentioned Phoebe and Captain Mac will be vital to my quest then he leave -_- Time for Aquaria! As i figured there was a door in focus tower in which had a sword on it. It was a brown tint just like the Sand Coin so i approached the door and it opened. I definitely have access to Aquaria now. In Libra Temple i met Phoebe who said Spencer her grandfather was trapped in the ice as all of Aquaria is. Phoebe is quite adept at magic just like most FF girls. Apparently to free everyone from Aquaria, we need the Wakewater from the Spring of Life. Unfortunately the monster from Wintry Cave stole it so that where im going now. However to restore the town to its former glory i have to defeat the guardian of the Water Crystal. It is sapping the water from this town for its own purposes. Fought the creature that took the Libra Crest. It was a giant squid
called Squidite! Beat it pretty easily and now i can go back to the
Libra Temple and break the seal and enter the Life Temple for the
water. In the Life Temple all of the wakewater had dried up due to the guardian of the water crystal. Luckily the old man from the beginning of the game had a bag full of it. Maybe now i can restore Aquaria back to normal. Phoebe used the water on a plant in the middle of the town but much to her surprise nothing happened. She realized that only when the water crystal is rescued her town will restore itself. On to the Ice Pyramid! I stop for today after i get to the Ice Pyramid. Looks like Lamias made their way back into this game causing status effects as usual -_- Hopefully they don't cause me many problems i don't wanna hate this game! I had to fight some snow crab before getting to the Ice Pyramid. Rosa just learned White. So this is the game where it originated. I
always though Mystic Quest had it first. That is good to know. Actually, I believe the spell first appeared in FFI. It's supposed to be 'Holy', but has been translated/censored in various ways, such as FADE in FFI and White in FFIV. |

I found an Ice Golem but when i talked to him he said im enjoying this game and teleported elsewhere -_- He's so chicken! I found him again but this time he has no where to go. Ice Crystal Time! That bastard! He challenged my knightlyhood! He is so going down! *****! Don't ever say i'm not a knight again! I beat him! Phoebe left my party and told me to check on Aquaria and her grandpa Spencer when i got the chance. Actually, I believe the spell first appeared in FFI. It's supposed
to be 'Holy', but has been translated/censored in various ways, such as
FADE in FFI and White in FFIV. Yeah but i always thought White was the best incantation of the spell Holy. Spencer mentioned that Captain Mac has a ship of sorts (Reminds me of Cid) and it has to be dug up so im going to check up on that. He also mentioned something about Fireburg having earthquake so i need to see whats up with that as well. I encountered the old man in Focus Tower again. This time he told me to seek out Reuben in Fireburg. Blizzard looks so awesome in this game <3. Found Reuben. I tried to pursue him to help me get the Crystal of Fire however he wanted to help out his friend. So im going to help him out with that first. Tristam was in town and i talked to him, apparently he is still looking for treasure o.o I hope he does something else of more importance later like gimme that claw i want it now! Someone in town said that a guy had a key that could open any door and luckily there just happens to be a locked door in town. I figured that Tristam had it so i talked to him and he gave me the multi-key. Now i can open the door and hopefully get the new explosive so i can help out Reuben. Got the mega grenade and now i can free Arion, Reuben's father. LOL Reuben did 666 dmg. Devil worshiper! Oh well i need him and stuff. He is constantly doing 666 dmg. Square what were you thinking!!?!?!?!?!? Awww. Tristam left town..... without giving me his claw!!! Oh well. IMO, it's definitely worth playing once. It's pretty simple, but kind of fun. Like I said earlier, I prefer every other FF besides II over Mystic Quest, but that doesn't mean I dislike MQ. I played it once and that was enough. I'd only ever play it again as part of a complete FF playthrough like Palmer is doing. --- Character Battle V Contest Winner! Thank you, Eddie Guerrero. |

I didn't get to play today. My brother was using the computer that i
play on but however i did decide to play Jade Cocoon 2. Play for about
8 hrs straight! Oh well i guess i'll play Mystic Quest twice as long

Hooray i got White! I didn't know you got it this earlier in the game o.o Oh well time to rape with it! I wonder why they never did that in other FF games. You hit an enemy and they counter with a status effect like confusion or pertify. Seriously this game is so different from the rest of the series i might not include my ranking because im afraid im going to rank it higher than FFX and i don't want to do that to myself! On my way inside the volcano i had to fight Medusa. I'm was too lazy to cure Reuben when he got stoned and shortly after i got stoned as well so i got another game over -_- I think i've died more in Mystic Quest than in FF1-4 combined. Ewww. The Medusa-clone has para-touch -_- Yeah i died again XD Thx goodness there is absolutely no drawing back to dying. In any other game i would be pissed <3. LOL! There is a fire bird called HOT WINGS XD! I accidently left the Lava Dome and all the enemies came back and i probably wasn't halfway through the dungeon -_- Oh well i love the gameplay so much i'm going to fight all the enemies again! I just realized that seeds refill your mp o.O I tried to find someone to buy them from but i forgot what town that person was in. I really need to finish up the Lava Dome so im just going to head back there. Status effects are brutal in this game. I bet 99% of my deaths in this game were due to confusion/pertify. I so sorry i neglected you Charm Claw! I'll love you forever! Enemies have some pretty interesting names. Fangpire ftl! If only i knew that everything in the Lava Dome was connected i wouldn't have been in here so long. Very nicely made dungeon though. Almost rivals Air Rock from Golden Sun: The Lost Age. Finally got to the boss now that i knew what i was doing. Its a
dual-headed dragon that can talk! Then again all the other crystal
guardian talked as well but lets not to dwell on that on with the
battle! LOL! I used life on my self after trying to revive Reuben after a critical hit and it healed me fully as if i was dead o.o I still love the way bosses changed as you start to defeat them. This boss started off with two heads then 1/4 way into the battle it lost a head, then its body changed to make up for the dead weight. Finally it crouched down to signify that it was about to perish. I wish more rpg were like that. Now i have the Sun Coin which gives me access to another part of Focus Tower and however i can go to Windia for the final crystal (even though there are five crystals according to the intro screen). After the battle the volcano erupted creating a new path for us.I'm guessing Reuben is going to leave my party eventually since he has accomplished what he needed to do. I better get Tristam back soon with my claw! Hooray no more earthquakes! They were getting annoying. On to Windia! He told me to look from Captain Mac's ship. Luckily you can clearly see in on the world map however i don't think it has been dug up yet. I'll have to check on Spencer later. A passage in Focus Tower lead me to Doom Castle. First off awesome music, secondly im guessing im not suppose to be here yet. These enemies had tons of hp and were quite powerful. I got Aero though and got my ass out of there! I have all my White and Black magics (4 white, 4 black, 4 wizard in this game). I seriously forgot what the other two wizard magics were so it will be a surprise to me. As i arrived on the rope bridge a mummy arrived and try to fight us. Reuben attempted to fight him alone and got knocked off the bridge but he is ok, however, we got separated. Luckily Tristam was in the area and he joined my party once more <3. It better almost be time for you to give up that claw! Ok im in the Alive Forest. I can visually see my last two crests! Unfortunately, unless an earthquake happens i won't be getting them any time soon. Of course the old man was standing right behind the door opened by the Sun Coin. He reminds me heavily of the owl from Zelda. I hate them both but a little guidance is never a bad thing. So there is some huge giant tree in the middle of Alive Forest (lol Deku Tree) however it won't let us in! So Tristam thinks we should go to see Kaeli who happens to be at Aquaria atm. I went to Phoebe's house and Kaeli was there sleeping. I bet i know why
she was sleepy (insert porn music here). Anyways Phoebe suggest that i
should talk to Spencer while Kaeli is resting from sex i mean being
tired. Spencer said he can't dig the tunnel to the ship and he needs the help of Otto from Windia. Spencer mentioned a rumor to Tristam and immediately he thought it involved treasure so he left my party to go check on it with Spencer. However he did impart me with the Dragon Claw before he left! I now have the last claw and the last axe (You have 4 weapons in this game: bombs, axes, swords, and claws and each has 3 lvls). To help out her grandpa, Phoebe tried using a bomb in the tunnel, however, she ended up making it collapse! And i thought she was a smart one. Anyways time to get Kaeli to go conquer the inside of the Living Tree. I got Kaeli back! She also has a giant's axe and she has picked up the Aero spell as well. She is going to make the Alive Forest quite easy. XD at Mummies being weak against Aero. Oh im in the Giant Tree btw. After i get to Windia i'll probably quit for today. Sweet i got Meteor. I really forgot that it was in this game. Oh well time to rape with it! Woah! I tried to use aero on this gray slime inside the tree and it reflected it back at me. I don't remember that at all in my first playthrough! I died again because frogs didn't to use the paralyze/stone combo: Petrify one member then paralyze hax the other till they die -_- But im not upset dying doesnt matter in this game! Beat a chimera (love how each of the head died out as i dealt more dmg) and the tree thanked me(for killing all the monsters inside of it) by taking me to Windia. I'm on a Jade Cocoon high right now and i don't know when im coming
down. Played for about 10 more hours and now i can't sleep. Whenever i
recover i'll continue playing this (and knowing me i'll probably say up
till about 10 p.m. sleep and wake up at 6 am o.o) So i'll take this
time to say goodbye to the night crowd of Board 8. I'll miss you all
(Kleenex ill miss your music topic, Red Shifter ill miss your crazy
randomness, Taslion ill miss our secret rivalry, Icehawk ill miss your
top 50 user list and talking to you from time to time, WVI ill miss
your love of dragons, VG Stud ill miss your candy topic, BigPun9999 ill
miss you and me being one of the few fighter game fanatics of the board
you are definitely underrated, Zachnorn ill miss your rate the year
topic and late night pokemon colosseum matches, if i forgot anyone im

I don't know what the world record is for how long a human being can
stay up without sleep but im pretty sure i could go for it right now.
Another 15 hr session of Jade Cocoon today o.o I've never play a game like this before in my life. I usually pace myself but this is game is so addictive that i can't help to keep playing. I don't think i even play a game for 30 hrs in a two day span. Anyways im pretty beat from being up for 27 hrs so like i planned im sleeping around 10 p.m. and hopefully i can get to Mystic Quest some time before 10:00 a.m. Nite everyone. --- *Heroic Palmer* they are not fat their big bone -ertyu |

Well it seems i still didn't restore my sleep cycle. I went to bed around 11 pm but awoke at 2 pm -_- Regardless i don't see Mystic Quest being that much longer (only missing the last sword and the last wizard spell and only need one more crystal) so ill try to finish it up by Monday. Ok i arrived in Windia and talked to Otto, the guy needed to dig up
Captain Mac's ship, but his daughter is supposedly stuck up on Mount
Gale due to terrible winds. Basically before i can even discuss the
matter with him he shuns me till i save his daughter. I went to Mount Gale and i found something that Kaeli figured was the guardian of the Wind Crystal however it was just one of his henchman and he mentioned the guardian was Pazuzu but he said we would never meet him and then the battle was on! Turned out to be some guy named Dullahan who is a headless knight with a headless horse! I looks muy freaky mind you. During the duration of the battle the half top of the horse lean down to the ground then the horse disappeared and Dullahan is now the only thing on the screen (once again clamoring about how i love how bosses change when they lose certain amounts of hp). Wow. Somehow my whole last post got deleted so recap: Beat Pazuzu and got the Sky Coin needed to unlock the last door of Focus Tower. Got the Excalibur and Flare meaning i have all the weapons and spells. Saved Norma who was in the tower not in the mountains because she was trapped there while the winds became so bad she couldn't access the Rainbow Road that her father Otto created. However later Otto reopened it due to the fact that after i defeated Dullahan the winds died down which allowed Otto to open the Rainbow Road so i could defeat Pazuzu and save Norma safely. That is pretty much the gist of what i posted. I found it o.o I accidently posted it in another topic XD Here it is :My mistake Norma is stuck in Pazuzu's Tower however the winds that Dullahan seemingly caused prevented Otto from making his Rainbow Road so that Norma could safely return to Windia. Otto just opened up the Rainbow Road once more so that me and Kaeli could obtain Norma and the Wind Crystal. Pazuzu pulled the same teleporting trick that Ice Golem did earlier in the game. He however looks so badass it not even fair. Found him again and he teleported again. He is making himself look foolish imo! I don't know if i mentioned this earlier but i love when enemies cure themselves. Its like they are trying to save themselves from looking stupid XD. Got the last wizard magic, Flare. So now all is left is my last sword, armor and shield and one is still in the tower (im betting last armor and sword are in the last part of the game). Like Otto mentioned i hit the switch with my axe so that Pazuzu couldnt be allowed to teleport anymore. Now i can fight him but first i want my treasure chest! Correction there are 3 chests in this place. I'm really hoping one is my sword. Hooray i got the Excalibur. This game is getting even more cool points, Flare and Excalibur are the best things in the game which is first for both of them. That last treasure chest in this place is getting me a hard time so im going to fight Pazuzu to see if that can't help out the situation. He said i will never see Captain Mac! He starts off standing then leans down, then lies down completely and his eyes turned red. I beat him. Last crystal down! Well Otto mentioned Captain Spencer and how we were going to help him
but then Reuben appeared! Reuben said when he fell he found a stairway
to the top of Focus Tower. Otto then realized that Captain Mac could be
saved if they refilled the dry lake around Aquaria. To do so they would
need to set off a bomb near the upper lake so it could spill into the
lower lake (so that is what Phoebe was trying to do earlier). However
Spencer's tunnel is sealed off due to Phoebe however Otto says if the
Rainbow Road is powered with Thunder Rock it could easily allowed to
enter Spencer's Place. Reuben said his dad would know of the Thunder
Rock so i guess we are headed for Fireburg. Kaeli was told to take care
of Norma so that left an opening in my party for Reuben. Time for Focus
Tower! I talked to Kaeli and she said, "Save my Dad!" I totally forgot that Captain Mac was her father o.o I went to Fireburg and Arion gave me the Thunder Rock. No boss battle or anything. I was quite unhappy. He just gave it to me and nothing happened. That doesnt happen in RPGs! Anyways gave the rock to Otto and he powered up the Rainbow Road to Spencer's Place. As soon as we got there Spencer threw a Mega Grenade at the Upper Lake and it drained down Mac's ship to land. Now i can save him, but first im exploring the cave. Yay i found the Mobius Crest now im guessing that allows me access to the ship. I just realized i had to talk to Kaeli before i could access the ship. I was going everywhere trying to find out how to use the new crest i got -_- Oh well time to save Captain Mac! It took me forever to found out how to advance in Mac's ship. I didn't
know you could climb things! They should have introduced that element
earlier in the game! Foolmo stop trying to steal the 500th post! Found Captain Mac and the last piece of Armor in the game. He recognized that i had his cap and then Kaeli appeared. She was glad he was ok but then he mentioned something about a Dark King and a prophecy. Before he could go into detail Kaeli insist they go to Windia so he could rest. After Kaeli left with her father Reuben fell out. He said he guess he hasn't recoverd from the fall on the rope bridge so he needed to go to Windia to rest as well. Guess we are all going to Windia. As I was walking back to Windia, Tristam and Spencer appeared before me! I told Spencer that Phoebe was looking for him and he said they already met up and now she wants to talk to me in Windia. Then they both left o.o When i got to the Inn Phoebe said we needed to talk so Reuben went off to rest but not before falling out two more times! She said Mac's news is not pleasant. Then she joined my party. So officially every joins your party twice (Kaeli, Tristam, Phoebe, Reuben). I talked to Mac and he said discovered a lost part of the propechy. Basically i think he is saying that the old man is not an ally! Anyways he said i could use his ship to get to the top of Focus Tower. I'm officially in Doom Castle the last part of the game! On the first
floor i already noticed a chest so now i pretty much have every armor
and item this game has to offer. Now i just have to get to the last
boss with im guessing is the old man who helped me out all along! Looks like you have to fight the four elemental guardians once more. I love when they do things like that in games (especially in Megaman) How does a Ninja self-destruct?!?!?!? They are suicide bombers! Btw i just beat Skullrus Rex (earth crystal guardian) and now im about to fight Ice Golem revisited. Stone Golem is now no longer weak to fire in fact he is resistance to it. Unlike in the previous games when you had to fight bosses before the last boss i may have commented on them however bosses in this game are all the same. They try to use status effects on you (confuse, petrify, death, etc) or do regular attacks or spells. All Rex tried to do was quake and stone status i believe. Stone Golem tried death powder and did some regular attacks nothing really worth talking about. Next is hydra. Two-headed hydra turned into Twin-head Wyvern. Unlike in most rpgs its not that hard to find out a bosses' weakness due to the fact that enemies and bosses alike can only be weak against a couple of things (bomb, axe, fire {flare is fire elemental in this game}, earth {meteor is earth elemental in this game}, wind, water, thunder and cure {i believe white falls in this category }). Pazuzu clone is next. For some reason the Pazuzu puzzle confused the hell out of me. It took me a while to figure it out as well. He is now named Zuh. All he really did was spam Doom Dance with usually never works so i just scored free hits every now and then. He has a psychshield ability but however if you use magic it only does about 1 damage so it was nothing to fear. Last boss time! "Evil can't thrive if you keep hope alive." Before I even arrived to the last boss the four crystals came together into a statue and granted me their powers which happened to be 99 of each of the following: seeds, cure potions, heal potions, and refreshers if i remember correctly. The Dark King, the last boss, said that he was the one who created the prophecy so i believe he was posing as the old man! I died 2 times -.- First time, while i was trying to revive Phoebe after his Mega Flare did a critical hit (instant death) he attacked me with spider kids which also was a critical hit which killed me. He has four forms. First form he is just the regular dark king. Second form he is the Dark King with six arms each equipped with a weapon and each weapon does a different attack. There were four swords, an axe, and a bow. The swords did fire and ice attacks and the bow and arrows took damage from me and healed him 1000 dmg.Third form he develops 2 more arms and becomes a spider and is granted with 5 more attacks: spiders kids does about 700-800 dmg critical is automatic death, mega flare which critical is auto death as well, silver web which does damage plus poison and confusion however I am immune to both Phoebe is not, gold web which does damage and petrify but I'm immune to that as well but Phoebe is not, and mega white which does about 500-600 to both party members and is how i died the second time because i was too lazy to heal and was hoping that he would use a different move plus i didn't know he had that attack. His last form his spider legs turn into octopus tentacles but his attacks stay the same. The old man was in fact the last crystal, the crystal of light. MQ > FF4 > FF3 > FF1 > FF2 Somehow when i started the game i knew it would easily put ahead of the rest. It is easily the most fun FF game. How many FF games could you use bombs as a main weapon? Gameplay was a lot of fun and it had a lot of variety. Most main characters only have one way to fight (FF2 is the exception because practically everyone can be the same) however in this game you have swords, axes, bombs, and claws. Definitely has more of a strategic element to it that i haven't found since FF3 (you couldn't just straight up attack the whole time and you had to use certain jobs for certain battles at least till you got Ninja and Sage however once you get Flare you can just spam it for about every battle) Nothing is more fun then going around killing enemies in one hit from your claw! Music is easiest the best in the series. FF3 definitely has some better tracks however every single piece is music in MQ is adequately good. I found myself humming the whole way through. Mind you it isn't that much better than FF4 but only slightly, only slightly in fact i would rather rank them like this: MQ > FF4 > FF3 >>>>>>>FF1>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>FF2. I still love them all though. Final verdict: Very short but fun rpg. FFV starts off with Lenna. Her father is the King and he believes that
something is wrong at the Wind Shrine so he is going to check. Later it
shows Faris, a man, and Leena all noticing that the wind has stopped
and immediately Lenna fears for her father's well being. King Tycoon
approached the crystal and it shattered! Then it cut to a scene with
the main character im guessing and a chocobo but something seemingly
was approaching them so he jumped on the giant chicken and high-tailed
it out of there. Its making some sense now. The falling object was a meteor! Awww he named his chocobo Boco Xd. Anyways time to explore what just happened. The main character noticed some goblins carrying Lenna! I fought them and kick their asses of course. No dying in the first fight of the game like FF2. Hooray by name is Butz -_- We found the old man i mentioned in the earlier cutscene. It was Galuf. It's really too bad i know what happens to him. Both Galuf and Lenna feel that they have to go to the Wind Shrine so they headed there without Butz. After all as of now he has no reason to join up with them. As Butz and Boco were head off, Boco suddenly stopped throwing Butz into the side of a cliff. Then basically Boco makes Butz evaluate why he isn't gong to help Galuf and Lenna. Then from a distance they heard Galuf and Lenna scream then they were off to save them. Unfortunately a goblin fight occurred first. Boco jumped over what i would say to be pitfalls and another goblin fight occurred. Then Butz scooped up Lenna and Galuf, jumped over more pitfalls and escaped from this dangerous area to a saver place. Apparently the road to Tule is not applicable right now. So they will have to go another route. Butz then decides to join them because he says his friend said he should travel the world. Galuf thinks he joins just for Lenna. Found a cave that was seemingly formed from the earthquake however
there were pirates in there and it had a secret button. Saw a ship that
could sail w/o wind if that is possible. There must be something
special about it. Anyways more cave exploring! Looks as if im going to meet Faris in which i will have my fourth party members. I love how this is all coming together so nicely. Butz tried to use the ship however it wouldn't bulge then Faris appeared! Lenna pleaded to her that we needed to borrow her ship so that they could save her father however Faris took this opportunity to imprisoned Lenna and the others for her own personal gain. She believes since Lenna is Tycoon's princess she will fetch a lot of dough. Turns out Faris and Lenna have the same pendant! Does this mean that they are related in some way or have the same father? Guess i'll find out soon enough. Somehow i knew dragons were involved in the ships moving without wind. Well Faris had a chance of heart and allowed her man to untie Butz, Galuf, and Lenna's rope and said she would assist them in the Wind Shrine. WTF Faris is a guy?!?!??!?! I guess Square started off earlier with the girly guy characters. Well one of Faris's men assisted to navigate us to the Wind Shrine. I'm astounded anytime someone says that they actually like Mystic
Quest. I couldn't stand it. Nobody I've ever talked to in real life
could either - we'd all either come from playing pen & paper and
complex computer RPGs, or at the very least FF4/Secret of Mana/Phantasy
Star 2/Lufia, and MQ was a huge step down from all of them. Oh well, congrats on enjoying something I couldn't find a way to (and even had to pay money for before finding out I hated it). Hope you find the next few games even better than the ones you have so far. :) |

| ^^^^^^^^ I see where you are coming from but just
know in games period all i care about is gameplay and music. MQ just
happen to have the best combination so far. Like i mentioned earlier i
shouldn't even rank MQ with the rest of the series because it was a
spin-off. I just like it because it was fun to me, many agree that the
game is horrible. Oh btw one of my friends came over and he brought over his XBox360 <3. I arrived at the Wind Shrine and a couple of the King's men mentioned
that monsters have invaded the shrine and that the King is on the top
floor. I went to go look for him however a dragon-like creature was
guarding the entrance of the crystal room. Boss fight time! Another
boss that has a stipulation if you attack it when it is guarding and
such it counterattacks. Also it had an attack that hit everyone and it
spams it about 3 times in a row. Luckily i won. Now to see what has
fate has befallen the King of Tycoon. After entering the Wind Crystal room each of the 4 crystals imbued us with their spirits then Lenna's father appeared and revealed that we are the chosen warriors who must protect the world from a great evil (like i haven't heard this storyline before). Then he vanished and the shattered remains of the wind crystal were engulfed into our bodies. Hooray 6 jobs: knight, black mage, white mage, black belt, blue mage, and thief. I'm probably going to have a knight, black mage, white mage, and black belt for now. I want to try blue mage but i have not idea what to except out of it so i'll pass for now. Time to exit the Wind Shrine. I went back to the cave near the beginning of the cave. Turns out Boco went in after us and ended up becoming wounded. Some guy is taking care of him so i have nothing to worry about. Time to find out where to go. Well this may easily become one of my favorites as well. Battles actually have a purpose in this game, to get points for jobs. That easily makes me want to be in every fight possible. XD at Faris for coming out of the pub when i went to the weapon shop. Oh forgot to mention im in the town of I love the things Square tries to get away with. Nut Eater? I mean they couldn't have named it something else? They were just tryiing to be funny! Well did some job training and found out that two enemies in the cave i was previously in have blue magic skills so that is where im headed next. WTF? I didn't know you could get ***** in this game o.o I seriously just got a lap dance from three women at the same time. Gotta <3 Square! Ok im still confused about Faris. I went to check on her/him/it and both Butz and Galuf seem to have saw something about her/him/it that made them fall in love, so im guessing i was right with my first guess when i believed Faris to be a girl. Oh well. Found Zokk's house and Lenna knows of him because he built the gate to Torna Canal which im guessing is the next destination. I went there before coming to this town however the gate was locked so hopefully Lenna can persuade him to open it for us. Apparently Zokk lost the key and even if he did have it he wouldn't allow Lenna to go due to the fact that the canal is now infected with monsters. He allowed them to spend the night and later that night Butz went outside and had a flashback involving his dad and the burden of the crystals. A bit further into the night, Zokk saw Butz and gave him the key to the canal. He also wanted him to protect Lenna at all cost. Now i can go to the canal, but first i want Aero and Vampire. After leaving town and getting on the boat Lenna was worried about the wind due the the fact that the Wind Crystal was shattered. She believed that eventually wind would never blow again and birds would lose their will to fly. Then she wondered what would happen if the other 3 crystals shattered. She said the earth would rot if the earth crystal shattered, water would become stagnant if the water crystal was crushed, and the world would become a frozen tundra if the fire crystal was done away with. Then Galuf vowed to save the crystals with his life basically and Faris said she wanted to save Lenna's father. Butz said that he wants to help because the crystal s lending them power so might as well use it.
