Wait, when the hell was this argument? >_>

I don't recall this, but eh. Reason you should think differently? Well, "fanboy" is a term derogatorily used to indicate someone who is blindly biased and mindlessly judges whatever they favor as the best, without looking into the competitors. I'm a fan of Nintendo, definitely, but I can honestly say that I'm not really biased in the least.

Fair enough?

Icehawk: do you ever get that feeling that you want to punch yourself in the face repeatedly when browsing the board? if so, how often?

GameBop: why not as often? boredom, time, both?

Sami: how many people have hit on you, an obvious alt?

snow: have you ever considered trolling to get more responses?

CrimsonOcean: PS2 or GC, which do you prefer? why?

PS2 or GC, which do you prefer? why?

I personally prefer the PS2. I like its wide variety of games and I like it's graphics. I'm a fan of RPGs and Fighting Games and the PS2 has them in abundance, as well as some other good pick up and play games.

SSS: what the hell does your username mean, reference or whatever?

When I was young, I was writing some story for something or other. The character who was me in my eyes I tried to name "sensei" but misspelled it "sensi." Later, I found the story in the online files and posted it somewhere online. People started calling me that, and the name stuck.

since then, I've made myself "SensiShadeSlayer" as in, Sensi who Slays Shades. I guess I hit the character limit on GameFAQs tho, because...there ain't no r. =/

-Every time someone bashed the Xbox/360, as their justification is usually "none of the games interest me".
-Every time I see someone brag about their indie cred >_>.

choco: FFX or FFX-2?

VG Stud:

Not embarrassed at all, actually. The account before this was VG Balla, and I made it back when I played video games a lot, back in like 2001. After losing an account bet though, I had to get a new name, so I chose Stud.

that's awesome. what, pray tell, is a "VG Balla"?

what was your first video game, and what's the oldest game you still play now and then?

I think I'm going to have to go with Carnival on the Intellivision. I want to say I remember the day we first got the system and that was also the first game we had. friggin duck

Oldest game I still play? erk, I don't really play too many old games. Well, I guess Gauntlett and Smash TV now on my 360. before that, original Zelda and Mega Man 2, but I haven't hooked up my NES since I got the HD TV.

Also, FFT shows up once a year. I don't complete it, but I really like the gameplay, music and atmosphere.

Between 24 and Duck Tales? Hmm...

Well, The Wire is a good fit. Seriously, hear me out.

24 is a gritty look at the dangers of life, though often to extreme measures. The writing is excellent, the action is heartpounding, and in spite of all the dangers and terrorist plots going on, it's the characters you know and have come to watch over the years that ultimately save the day. Many things that happen, happen for a reason. The Wire shares a lot of these same qualities. However, unlike 24, it lacks any glaring plotholes and the storyline is panned out beforehand.

Ducktales is a cartoon that follows rich Scrooge McDuck and shows how he and his family get along with the world aroudn them when they have so much damn money. The Wire closely follows the corruption of bureaucracy and shows every level of the class chain, showing how everything affects one another. Senator Clay Davis is very much like Scrooge McDuck... without the triplets and daughter to soften his stingy heart.

Oh, and about that TP topic...yeah, god damnit, I overhyped that. Amazing game, almost in my top 20 probably, but not near as good as my expectations made me believe. The critics were the main reason I thought that way, though; the reviews it got were ridiculous. I wouldn't say you can justify giving it an 8.8, but I also can't justify giving it a 10.

And did you see that preview video I posted in that topic? It looked incredible. >_>

you're a Sega boy, right? best SMS game?

Right. But Mega Drive/Genesis was my first SEGA system, and I've only played a handful of SMS games through the wonders of emulation. So I couldn't give you a good answer on this one. The Wonder Boy and Alex Kidd games I've tried are really fun. I guess I'd go with Wonder Boy in Monster Land, out of the few I've played. Someone here once said OoT was merely a 3D version of that game, which was pretty funny and there's some truth in it.

Dabu: you seem to only post here when you have something you want to get off your chest these days. what's up with that, and where are you posting instead?

Aside from the Brood War board and it's corresponding Social Board, I don't post much anymore on GameFAQs. A lot of the time that I used to devote to posting is actually spent on e-mails now (and to a lesser extent, writing private entries on my blog).

Sometimes I post my rambles here instead of elsewhere (or in addition to elsewhere, depending on the scenario), usually when my active messages on this board drops close to zero and I feel like I should be posting something! I actually keep a lot of my more serious thoughts away from GameFAQs due to their nature.

I still post in random topics on this board (like this one); I believe that I have six such messages at the moment.

What I like about board 8 is that even during the off-season it's a fairly fast moving board, and I do like some of the users here. I don't really identify with them as much as I do on some of the gaming boards though, as with them I'm actually playing games as well, and can interact in a more chat-like interface. Message boards can be slow, sometimes, due to the frequent pauses in communication.

I don't know if that's a sufficient answer or not. I'll pretend that it is and be on my merry way.
