then why would you hype a game as being the best ever when it wasn't
even out? that's bias towards a game you haven't even played! or are
you telling me you'd do the same with another game/series? name it! Well, there aren't many games that get as much recognition as Twilight Princess (note to Nintendo: don't call something "by far the best Zelda game" unless it is). So it's different for that sort of game: four years of development, claimed to be one of the best games ever by people who had played it (as I mentioned earlier, the reviews), absolutely stunning trailers, etc. resulted in an absurd amount of hype inside me, and I'm the type of person who generally doesn't think much of hype either (but I also have the obscure opinion that hype is usually a good thing....yeah, I'll explain if I must). Really, I don't think there's ever been another game I could say all that for. Another game series I could say the same for? Well, not really, but Metroid Prime 3 is my most anticipated title right now, and ever since I saw that minute long trailer, I get the feeling it may end up as one of my favorite games ever. Aside from KD and PW, I can't really think of many other 'fad' games I
like... though aside from those two, I can't really think of any 'fad'
games at all. Of course there are some other games I like - ITG and GH
aren't really fad games here (well, depending on your definition, maybe
GH is, but not to the extent KD and PW were, and it doesn't exactly
have the fad potential of the King or OBJECTION!),
for instance. There are a few games I like more than PW/GH(II)/W<3K
- ITG2 would be one of those, and then there's Worms Armageddon. There
are others I enjoy a lot too - SSBM, Starcraft, Disgaea, Skies, FFIV,
CT, and some others - though I'm not sure if I like them more than PW
or W<3K - I don't think any game's ever made me laugh as hard as PW,
and W<3K has a lot of things I prefer over the original even if the
music can't compare. As for KD being at the top of my list... it's
probably a coincidence, and as I said, I haven't played it in a while.
Though it would probably still be one of my favorite games even if it
wasn't as fun because it still has the King of all Cosmos and one of my

Uh, ok. Only five games? That's easy. MGS 2 and 3 - Substance and Subsistence to be specific, some of the best games around. FFX - I'm playing it right now actually, along with FFV Advance; I'll hopefully get FFIII and FFXII after I'm done playing these two. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - Not really big on the GTA series, but this is probably one of the best games of last generation; amazing title. | I always thought it was just keeping a topic bumped for a long period of time. Well, I guess there's that and then there's filling an entire topic up with posts like I have done a few times in the past. It was just somethin to do. I copied Pleinair by keeping topics bumped for as long as I could, but quickly got frustrated by how quickly they purged and decided it wasn't worth my time. I stopped posting as much as I did, I used to hover around 1000 active posts, not it's about 100-200. |
