omega: curiosity - why do you turn every topic about gaming news, sales or whatnot into a console war? if there's one thing that drives me nuts about this board, it's console favouritism, where people sit there cheerleading behind one billion dollar company and irrationally hating the other. you are, like, the posterchild of this.

alfador: rank these juices:

apple

Lucid: I have utterly no idea what you're referencing there, so I'm just going to ignore it! I'd be curious in seeing your top 5 or 10 games of the year if you're up for it.

andy: yeah, I'd probably want an arm too. favourite Zelda game?

Haha.

Well, that is not to say I won't be expressing my opinion, but I'm going to try my shot at not shoving it down the throats of people. Maybe be a little more understanding of everything and more rational. I'm sure everyone will still be able to catch some sort of hint of bias, and I'll just consider that the natural favoring I have toward certain things. Aitch Emm being all normal?! Crazy, I know. =p

leaderboardsteve: I've wondered this for a long time, what's up with "leaderboard"? seems like a weird thing to throw onto your username.

Well, when I first made my account almost 2 years ago, I was extremely into golfing, and had just won a couple youth tournaments (I was 14) and finished highly in others, and was constantly on the leaderboards, which is where that came from.

Of course, I'm terrible with online names, and have since abandoned that name for everything except GFaq's because I don't want to throw away all that karma. So... golf and crappy naming. That's it.

The fact that you know me from PotD is pretty surprising. I didn't think anyone beyond Smurf knew me. >->

PotD isn't as interesting as it used to be. When I first showed up their, I met a lot of interesting people. A lot of great personalities and funny faces. But now, and I've come to realize this, after the PotD Presidential Elections were wiped, the veterans all left. Well... most of them, and now it's not interesting... it's immature. It's as if the vets of the board were the dam holding the water of noobies, and once the vets left, the noobies easily poured in and took over. Now... it's just random faces with random responses, with nothing really worthwhile to respond to or laugh about. Most of the vets have sifted off onto off-shoot boards, such as Paradiso, AMW, and ProM, or left all together. It's basically a board cataclysm- an apocolypse. If you head there and even see ONE topic worthwhile, it's probably from a vet. It's quite sad in some ways, because what was once almost a home to some people... has become nothing but a wasteland of a message board. *cries*

All of this ^ brings me over here, and over every board nowadays. RI, B8, the off-shoots, everywhere. I'm just around trying to meet new people since PotD is no longer itself. A lot of it is complete and practical boredom though. I probably won't be on this board as much, since a lot of it is too well knit together for my taste...

...but thank you for asking. :)

I even won one of those bloody VAPEs over it, before I gave it to Edouble for a pack of smarties.

That bolded part? Yeah, I seriously doubt I said anything like that. Those are just things I wouldn't say; I disagree with them. Well, if I was talking about Sony as a company, I might say something like that, in a more moderate and sensible tone. And the "OMFG PWND" part just sounds like a joke post. Was that in the same topic, or was that in my "After watching this, I can't see Twilight Princess being anything but the best game ever" topic?

Anywho, I recall that argument pretty well, but for some reason I didn't recall you being the one who I argued with. Probably because, well, the points my opposing argumentee (lol made up words?) made were pretty atrocious, IIRC, and I thought you were a fairly rational user from other posts. Seriously, you picked and chose what points of mine to counter, and then acted as if you could easily counter the rest if you wanted to, but didn't. The ones you didn't argue against were decent and relevant, and even the points you did argue against you didn't do very well at. Again, this is all from memory, but I'm fairly certain that this is true - I make sure not to twist things in my mind and lie to myself, since so many other folks fall victim to this. And getting a VAPE for that argument backs this up further. Vlado's "impervious to reality mindset" and anti-Nintendo fanboy elitism give me the impression that he would probably VAPE something like that, without actually reading anything I said. Thankfully though, he's not always that bad.

Anyways, that entire topic was atrocious. I was fairly new at that time, and I just randomly got bashed by your typical board 8 elitist bunch, who I highly doubt read my part of the argument. I can't speak for you, but I don't think you read it either. Are you sure you did? Because a lot of what you claimed I said sounds like a skewed perception. Ugh, I still hate this board's elitist ways...

Eh, but then again, maybe I said some stupid things in that argument, and maybe I'm the one with the skewed perception; it's a possibility. I know I often do get aggressive in arguments, but this is usually only if the person I'm arguing with is being a complete dip****. And I was a pretty angry poster during my first few months at board 8. A lot of things about this place disgusted me, and a few spectacular users were the only ones who were keeping me here. The board seems to have gotten a lot better now, though. But back on track: even if I did state that stuff, what matters is now. And now, I wouldn't say any of the things you claimed I said; that's just not me, at all. I'm not as unaware and senseless that quoted in bold portrays me to be. But whatever the case is, let's put that behind us and all that nice mumbo jumbo. :)

anyway, FF7 has a good soundtrack and I'm replaying it right now.. slowly. I don't think it has any standout tracks though, just a lot of ones that are pretty good.

Bah, didn't I just say that I haven't played FFVII!? Well, I suppose I can still answer that question: Name him Tidus, because that's like, ironic or something.

hmm...that's actually a tough question. I'd say if you really wanted to, you should start with Diamond and Pearl when the make it to the US. Pokemon Diamond and Pearl most likely have all of the best elements of all the other games.

Or...You could start at the beginning with Fire Red/Leaf Green or Red and Blue, make your way to Gold/Silver/Crystal then play one of Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald and the play Diamond or Pearl. I doubt you're that desperate though =o.

Yeah, that definitely comes out fanboyish, but I stick by it. I loved my PS2, don't get me wrong, but it annoys the hell out of me how many garbage titles there were available for it. But, it's inevitable that a huge library will have plenty of crap titles, especially when it's on such a popular system. It's easy money afterall, and people these days actually buy that crap. I'm obviously exaggerating with numbers though, but it really is probably around 95%.

Oh, and just wondering, have you ever heard me comment on the GBA's library? I say the same thing all the time, hell, I'd actually say 99.5% and just about mean it. >_> Well, maybe not quite, but as far as I'm aware, it has a bit more crap titles than the PS2 has.

And do you or, if you got that from someone else, that user, have the entire thing? I would like to see whether my memory of that argument is skewed or not.

It's a special talent, that rambling is. Usually I convince people I've answered their question when I really haven't.

And in a very rare moment of absolute honesty to the most serious degree, I find cartoon pornography to be extremely... Not right. People usually turn to cartoon pornography because something in them doesn't find the real thing to be enough for them, so they turn to artistic renditions that show the people to be more perfect and ideal then you'll ever find in real life. I don't find that natural in the least.

And as for child cartoon pornography? Sicked **** ever, and I personally think people that go for it are messed up.

...But The SEP's just on an internet messageboard, so he'll give them a Disapproval Five! instead and move on.

Thinking about it some more, the Wii will probably have a bunch of garbage titles as well, but I'd doubt quite as much as the PS2 or GBA ended up with. The main problem here is going to be titles that make the most gimmicky possible use with the Wii-mote, and not utilizing it to it's full potential. I expect a lot of those in the future.

Crap, budget titles are pretty much a problem that's going to happen to any console from now on though (mind you, this wasn't near as big a problem a few generations back), so I'd say that it is a little biased of me to say that. It comes off as if I'm blaming Sony, which is not where the blame should be put. So yeah, scratch what I said; I somewhat stick by it, but I'd change the wording.

Oh, and again, don't get me wrong, I love a lot of the GBA's library too, but it seriously annoys me when I see all these Mary Kate & Ashley titles that were probably put together in 2 months. Ugh.
