I wonder if this is gonna end up getting totally out of hand... [Day 26] I think Andy might be onto something. I staked my position in the brrom closet for the last 3 days, but he's slowly moving in. I fear I can't hold much longer. The megar rations i've afforded myself for this journey are lasting nowhere near as long as anticipatd. Also, I lost my only water bottle somewhere in the grueling hike between "Top of Stairs" and "Stairway's End." Why did they send a lone man on this mission!? What foolishness was this!? It seems that my only choice now is to steel mysef for battle. I cannot elude forever, and restocking isn't an option. I simply don't have the energy in me to make the trek to "The Kitchen." I will make my stand here, and I will taste either victory, or death. I chant to mself over and over again. "Remember, James. Fight him in the living room, so you don't have to fight him in the entryway."
