I have one friend that bought Diamond, but the rest of my friends
are, like, not 14 and stuff so they laugh if they hear I bought a

nah, never got into Yoshi's Island. only played it at a friend's house back in the day, anyway. my second favourite Mario title is actually Lost Levels. I love the difficulty of that game. if you're gonna have a pure 2d platformer, I'd prefer you make it brutally difficult because that holds my interest more. if only it had better control.. --- i do not violation any rules "I'm abusing my powers and locking this stupid topic." - Kaas |

I ****ing love the Lost Levels, and it's probably right behind SMW for
me as well, though YI is ahead of all of them as my favorite Mario
game. I've even individually speed run all the castle levels (well, not
including the letter worlds, as I was doing this on the SMB Deluxe
version of the game) in the game, which is no easy task! I spent like

#43: Disgaea 2 Year: 2006 System: ps2 Developer: Nippon Ichi gameplay-wise, Disgaea 2 improves on the original across the board. the way attacking from behind actually matters. the way healers actually level. the improved item world and the introduction of the felony system. I never bothered with the item world in the original, but the felony system had me going back for more. I'm not sure if I could go back to the original after playing this one. as for the story and characters? well, the ones in Disgaea are better, but both of them make me cringe and groan. I enjoy lighthearted/comical things as much as anyone, but Disgaea doesn't make me laugh. it makes me wish for the days of bad Final Fantasy stories. and that's saying something. great gameplay, though. I enjoy power levelling when I find a good map for it. I'm not the type to level my guys to 9999 (I'd get mind-numbingly bored doing that), but I do enjoy doing enough to finish the story mode and a couple optional boards. --- i do not violation any rules "I'm abusing my powers and locking this stupid topic." - Kaas |

I've had La Pucelle Tactics, Disgea, Phantom Brave, Makai Kingdom and
Disgaea 2 all since they've come out....and I haven't started a single

obviously if I own all 5 of those games then it's not just random games as they're all from the same line. and I'm sure I'll play them eventually...I have my whole life to play them! oh, my bad. I think a lot gets lost when you watch LL speedruns -- the
entire appeal is the difficulty and when you know what's coming and do
it quickly, it kinda loses what makes the game fun. same with
Battletoads or other really difficult games. I'd much prefer a video

Hmm, I suppose so, though when you're playing it it's just a crazy test
of reflexes that can be quite a blast. Played 8-4 so much that I can
literally go through the entire level in my head, and I did this around

you're better than I am, by a good amount. :) #42 - Wii Sports Year: 2006 System: Wii Developer: Nintendo Wii Sports is seriously my favourite "next-gen" game so far. (to be fair, I haven't played many, just 10 or so Wii games) it's so damn pitiful, but fun to play with friends. it's replaced Track and Field as my stupid sports game to play with friends. bowling is good for lots of people at once, golf is a great game for two friends to sit back and relax (all while laughing at each other for sucking ass), tennis is just fun in general and boxing... well, boxing is good to laugh at how freaking ridiculous you're making yourself look. Wii Sports is one of those games literally anybody can play and that's what makes it so appealing. a bunch of people will congregate at my best friend's house and Wii Sports is just the best game to play. oh, and obligatory inequality: golf > tennis > bowling > baseball > boxing. --- i do not violation any rules "I'm abusing my powers and locking this stupid topic." - Kaas |

I like baseball best, but the game of our house is bowling. It seems
every family I know that has a wii has a different "house game" for wii
sports. Like at my other friend's house it's tennis, but at least he
has a big enough family room to fit 4 people to play it without us

Really didn't care for Wii Sports that much, especially after the first few days with it. That said, I had low expectations in the first place, so when I first played it with my brother I was totally surprised at how incredibly fun it was.
