76 - UltimaterializerX Ulti fascinates me. he's probably the single biggest "contributor" to the board. his post-contest analyses are invaluable for anything you might want to know about how a contest match went and whenever he makes a list of some kind, the entire board reads it. he also has become sort of a figurehead of the board, so whenever he makes a topic about something the entire board contributes. Ulti can make a topic about a video game he just played, write five sentences and it'll be at 100 posts in no time at all. he also runs Rate the Game, maybe the longest contest series still running. he's a good gamer and the definition of a completist. (FFT, anyone?) on the other hand, he's a notorious rabble rouser and an extremely effective troll. the more in the minority Ulti is, the louder he gets. when Shadow of the Colossus was popular, he made a topic a day saying how overrated it was. now that this site is "Nintendo8FAQs", all you have to do is praise Nintendo in any way and Ulti will be right there with a diatribe against Nintendo. he has no problem stereotyping an entire gaming community as losers because of a couple bad apples. similar to Shake, he usually overexaggerates to get his point across and the way he writes comes off as condescending. he's also the single most effective troll I've seen on board 8. when you combine his popularity (which dwarfs every other board 8er by far) with a controversial topic, the entire board explodes. the best example was when he was following Zachnorn all around the board, harassing him and then responding to him with "you're obsessed with me, get a life." that day was hilarious. when Ulti wants to get under someone's skin, he can. people like Smurf or Chronic can stir the pot, but not nearly to the extent that Ulti can. I really like Ulti when he's just hanging out and chatting like a normal member of the board. he's smart, writes well and knows what he's talking about. when he's rabble rousing and trolling, he's not nearly as cool. I'm very glad that Ulti's here because he brings so much to the table, but there are times where you just want to slap him and say "get over yourself, man." --- xyzzy |

But you do it all the time! I've seen it at least a few times in the
last week or two. There's a 300+ post topic, the conversation drifts to
