I also don't really care about how much you "contribute" (what does that even mean?) Heh, it's funny how you pretend not to understand such a simple concept. Contributing means simply making meaningful posts/topics that help improve the board as a whole. I agree with Shelley. anyone can flood the board with contests. it
doesn't make you any more "useful". I think half of this board has run

Heh, it's funny how you pretend not to understand such a simple

help improve the board as a whole. Someone's contribution level is possibly the stupidest thing to base someone upon. I don't like the people I hang out with in real life because they make society a better place, I like them cause they're a blast to be around. Someone's contribution level is possibly the stupidest thing to base

because they make society a better place, I like them cause they're a
blast to be around. They don't need some stupid contribution quota to
be my friends. It was about understanding what contributing means, not about having to have the people contributing most as your best friends. 88 - ff6man another generic name, but I've managed to place this one at least. ff6man seems to come and go, running contests and then disappearing for weeks at a time. I remember his first contest, or maybe the first contest that I was on the board for, his FF6 character contest where the Phantom Ghost cleaned house. that made me laugh so hard at the time because it was the ultimate joke character. there hasn't been a good joke character since. RPGTJYP is as good as you can get. at one point, ff6man started bringing some random girl here. I didn't like her (MOSTLY BECAUSE SHE TALKED LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME LOL), so I pretty much ignored him for a good while. I don't care for a lot of the girl topics on board 8, mostly because it devolves into PICS NOW and WANNA DO IT and stuff like that. I haven't seen her around in a while, probably because there was a backlash against the "attention whoring". lately ff6man just sticks to his contests, talks about school and now has the uneviable task of running the WINNING STREAK topics. those things are fun to watch. I remember a year and a half ago I couldn't stand them because it was always Bill Nye, but now that there's some competition they're good stuff. plus, Colbert doubled up lesbians. I never thought lesbians would get blown out (lol) here! I applaud you, board 8, and keep it up, my good man. --- xyzzy |

87 - The23rdMagus I haven't seen Magus around in a few weeks, or maybe longer. T23M is the only person in a year plus of my sig that's responded to my xyzzy with a plugh. yeah, no one has any idea what the hell I just said. anyway, I always think of T23M as being somehow important to the site. maybe it's because I used to see him on every board I went to. maybe it's his low user id. maybe it's the sticky topic on DA. either way, he's been around a long time and is a pretty cool dude. lately he's left GF for some video game music site. grrr, I say! I miss the days when he'd make a post that contained seven fads at once. it was comically stupid and enjoyable to read. I wish he hung out here more and less on other boards. --- xyzzy |

that crap. if I were you, I'd tally the scores and the noms at
different times just to make life easier on yourself. hell, it'd be
miles easier if you didn't tally up the nominations and just picked
what the popular nomination of the day is, like Josh and I did for RTU.

yeah, I tried to mix RTU nominations with "oh man that's a good idea!".
I messed up occasionally (see doing Kosmo when he had that weird
controversy thing that I fail to remember), but it makes for high

86 - snailien snailien used to irritate me because he'd make a lot of topics, all of them stupid.. kinda like Cat, I suppose. occasionally he'd make one that would make me laugh, and slowly over time he made more and more of those. I'll never forget the topic where he tried to get 20 moderators to post in his topic and they did. I'm still waiting for my snailien fun bucks, god dammit! I think my favourite thing about snailien were his pictures. seeminly every day he'd post a new picture of himself in some stupid place or with some stupid look on his face. I'm almost positive that he took a zillion pictures of himself in the stupidest places just so he could post them on the internet. he seems like the kind of dude I would have fun hanging out with. plus he's a Suikoden fan, which is always a good thing. --- xyzzy |
