42 - Mumei JESUS CHRIST MUMEI I DON'T WANNA WATCH MONSTER I considered just writing that and letting it be.. but nah. Mumei is an insightful person that gets obsessive over his interests. when I first came to board 8, it was animals. every day a new animal would get rated and every day it'd get like a 9.95. I got to know Mumei as "that guy (girl?) who likes animals". nowadays, Mumei is "that guy who likes anime". Mumei has become the anime fan around here because he talks about it so much. he runs a contest series on the board and has his own forum that is apparently pretty popular. everyone also knows Mumei as 'that guy who won't stop talking about Monster.' I think Mumei does a search for Monster twice a day. when Mumei gets into something, he talks and talks about it until you've checked it out. I think he's told me to watch Monster personally about six times and I don't ever even watch anime/cartoons/television. Monster is the single most talked about anime on this board by far thanks to him. his new thing is Okami, something he's been into for months but hasn't really talked about in a while. Mumei is another person who uses AIM a lot more than he posts on the board. 41 - soiledtrousers ROCKET TROUSERS! I am eternally grateful to soiled for his Jay Solano dedication. bokuokuso, greatone10 and Ulti were all really helpful, but only soiled was there every day. he was even more dedicated I was. Solano may not have gotten in (darn you cjay), but the entire Jay Solano thing was entertaining to me for the entire year. I'm fairly certain that the Solano rally was the biggest one in board 8 history. soiled is a troublemaker who likes doing stupid things repeatedly. when he spammed the board with Cloud x Reno ASCII and got to like -100 karma, that was funny. when he does ertyu impressions.. well, he's no sess, but it's still entertaining. soiledtrousers always manages to keep me smiling no matter how stupid he gets. --- iddqd "MY SLEEPING PATTERNS ARE SHOT THANKS TO YOU AND YOUR FANFICTION" -windmage |

40 - Lagoona .I know I've asked you this before, and I know hundreds of others have too, but what's up with this? every time I see it, I get more and more confused. I suppose you can say that it makes your posts stand out - I never have to look at the name of the poster to know who it is. I still haven't gotten over the fact that Lagoona got axed. EC and Sess? well, they get axed every other week. Luster? Luster's not really a troublemaker, but he can be so dense that I could seriously see him not realizing that what he was doing was wrong. you, though? would never have expected vote stuffing out of you. the board-hunting community said pretty much the same and mourned your loss. you told me it was accidental, but it's awfully tough to do something axe-worthy by accident. I'm not sure if I've ever really communicated with you on board 8. I know you as one of the most prolific board hunters on the site. I bet you were up there in AMP before you got axed, way higher than I am/was anyway. you run two things on board 8 that I know of - your blob hunt (a board hunting game) and the prediction percentage challenge. are you doing the PPC again this year? I haven't really seen you recently, but I hope so. Lagoona's always keyed in on happenings on the site. he's one of the oldest board 8ers and lives in Europe. he used to be an alt whore and probably still is, but I only see 'goona alts when you run out of posts on your main. maybe that'll change once you get back up to the much-anticipated 75 karma. (getting 75 ain't what it used to be - I remember when I was all "yay, I can finally search topics!" now it's just "ehh, no posting restrictions.")
