"I think it's because Icon had fun with it and now everyone just follows along." It wasn't supposed to be like that. It was supposed to be Kali, but then she had to go on to "college," change her sn to some sort of Lesbian-feminist reference, and forget all about us. ;-; "That thieving whore, I'd been doing that for ages." I've been doing that since before you registered. I'm a maverick. Why, every ten write-ups or so, does tranny say "me, Icon, and such and such always used to have a great time."? 32 - TheCruelAngel some overzealous moderator is going to suspend TakeALake and you know it! TCA is swell. I generally don't agree with him on issues regarding taste (FF8? FF8?) or music (I forget exactly what you like.. but Queen and Iron Maiden and a few other classic rock bands come to mind!), but he is otherwise fun. most of my conversations with him are like those with Explicit Content - he calls me a sexy bastard for some weird reason, I nod slowly and he engages in text-based sex. I love his weird picture as well, that thing never fails to make me giggle. I know you're a Sufjan fan - what album not named Illinois should I check out? I've been thinking about this for a couple days now. TCA is just one of those super-nice guys that I really really like. --- xyzzy |

I have a confession. I don't think I've ever made a Ryoko/whore joke.
This is mainly do to the fact that, to the best of my recollection,
I've never actually spoken to or about her. I've used her (but I bet
she's used to that. OH!)
as an intermediary by which to mock icon and/or EC, but I don't believe
I've said more than three or four perfectly-worded sentences to her in
my entire life. I guess my beloved Miaow is the only pretend-internet-female for me... --- "Half of what he said meant something else and the other half didn't mean anything at all." HoratioQHornblower |

31 - Shake (something I've always wondered - was your original account just 'Shake'?) ahh, Shake. Smurf's #1 and one of the many 2K3 FOR LIFE-ers. I read this mini-Dylan interview the other day and thought of you, for obvious reasons: http://www.nme.com/news/bob-dylan/24074 older things always seem so much better in retrospect. just writing this topic makes me think that 2k5 was somehow awesome, and I don't really think it was any better or worse than it is right now. I can understand why you guys are like OH THOSE WERE THE DAYS, so long as you don't hate everything that comes afterwards. anyway, Shake is pretty much the centerpiece of all board 8 drama / history. I still don't really know half of what went on back in 2k3/4 and I doubt I ever will. Shake spends his time on board 8 entertaining himself in whatever way possible, be it a huge writing project or faking his own death or chasing a witch straight off the internet. I usually find internet drama to be really stupid, but for some reason I find it interesting when it comes to Shake. he's a real character that I missed when he was KOS in 2005, despite not really knowing him at all. I used to find Shake slightly intimidating - for anyone that was new, he was this guy you heard a ton about but never really talked to. whenever he'd show up, I'd be like "whoa, it's the Shake." I don't feel this way now, but I bet a lot of new people do. Shake is also interesting in that he has unique taste. I don't even know exactly what he likes - Kana, Grim Fandango, KOTOR come to mind - but I know that he tries everything and plays a lot of stuff. one day, I'm going to play Grim Fandango. if it's as good as King's Quest VI, I'll probably like it. my favourite thing about Shake? his writing style. I can't believe his first language isn't English. his writing is so eloquent and I love reading whatever he has to say, even when he's trolling or attacking lolicon or some other thing I find rather silly. one of my favourite topics of the year was Shake vs. Bellis in the rap battle. we were spoiled early on that one - when I saw those two were matched up, I was like "that could be the finals. both of them write so damn good and I'm sure they're going to wage war on each other." I'm damn glad he's back. there's nobody else like him. --- xyzzy |

"Intimidating? Moi? But I'm your friend." ~ Manny Calavera. Strange piece of trivia I keep repeating over and over again: I was one of those super-nice-guys in 2k3. I mean, like, Metool-levels. ^_~ ^That hideous thing infiltrated every one of my posts. The notion that my past intimidates people is very amusing. I was about as intimidating as a doorknob. A really evil<looking doorknob, but a doorknob nonetheless. My first username was simply Shake. I lost it in the Earthshake, which I really, really hated. Heck, everyone hated the Eathshake for months after, including me. I still miss that account. I don't know when I did turn sour. I think I'm becoming more unfriendly as time passes, but it's mostly done in jest. Insults are less work and just as fun as the creative jokes I used to post back when I was a try-hard. Writing style? I'm somewhat proud of my command of the English language. My vocabulary is limited when compared to the really neat ones like AT, Horatio, MYC, Double A and BigCow. Thankies for the write-up, tranny. I actually coughed when I read the intimidation part, and I was drinking, so you owe me one. Look me up whenever you find yourself in Holland. ~Shake --- 'The witness! The witness is escaping! Or suiciding!' 'Either way, after him! ~Aeon Azuran |

Yeah Shake was intimidating for about a day, and then I actually talked
to him. Then you realize he's sorta similar to you, except probably
twice as funny. There's also no one here that appreciates good ol'
mischief as much as SHAKOOOOD.(I find myself saying that and
TREPOOOOOOOOD at random times when I'm mowing the lawn and stuff.
