30 - Mega Mana Mega Mana has been around a long time - not on board 8, but all over the site. I know MM as a board hunter more than I do a board 8er, and board hunting has pretty much fallen off the map over the last couple of years. nowadays it's people posting a lot to get a high AMP or people signing dozens of various guestbooks that have no content whatsoever. this drives Mega Mana nuts. "WHY DO YOU PEOPLE SIGN THESE GUESTBOOKS? WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE" I got to know Mega Mana when the whole 25,000,000 "incident" happened. the entire thing sucked, but it did have some good points in retrospect - I got to know most every "victim" because they were running around on new accounts. Mega Mana gave GP an account to post with despite not really knowing her at all. I thought that was really nice of him. Mega Mana is obsessed with TV. he and Naye are always talking about TV. his TV time seems to cut into his board 8 time lately, which is too bad. when he's actually here, he's screaming Lost quotes over and over. MM was also running a massive 4096 character contest that "only" got to like 2,000 characters before it died off. I'm not sure if it will ever make a comeback. Mega Mana is great. --- xyzzy |

29 - Lopen INDESTRUCTIBLE LOPEN Lopen is best known for his off-the-wall brackets. at first I used to think that he just went upset-hunting, but that isn't exactly true. he's just a crazed Halo and Devil May Cry fanboy. since those guys are always in debatable matches, Lopen always goes with them and gets burned. I haven't seen him discuss his bracket at all this year and I'm 100% positive he has Dante beating Yoshi. I doubt he's ballsy enough to put Chief over Auron, but if he did I wouldn't be too surprised. in 2k5 his bracket was like -20, yet he was still alive in the Guru until the last couple of days. I can't wait to see his bracket this year. Lopen is also notable for his Raiden drive, one of the most successful rallies this board has ever seen. an hour after the bracket came out, I realized that Raiden didn't make it in and I felt so bad for him. he should try again next year, assuming MGS4 is out. I'd love to see that. Lopen is abstract and random, a lot of meisnewbie. his posts are usually strange and he's really easy to like. he's also a big Guilty Gear fan, and I think he likes TOS as well. (though that may just be Lopen's biggest fangirl, satan_delenn! okay, that's totally a typo and I'm leaving it because it makes me laugh.) Lopen is great to have in the stats topic because he clashes with the everyone else who is usually unanimous. sure, he goes down in flames more than Heroic Mario could ever dream, but that's part of the fun! --- xyzzy |

28 - oliphaunt *Explodes* oli gets better and better to me every day. he's a big gamer who likes a wide variety of games. his recent 'top 50 most anticipated games' was really interesting to me. the two things that I associate with oli right now are Okami and the Shin Megami Tensei series. I think he's out-Mumei'd Mumei on Okami - Mumei, you better do something about this! - and he's always raving about how awesome Nocturne and DDS are. I still need to play DDS one of these days. oli also lives 15 minutes away from me, so I can talk to him about local things and he'll actually know what the hell I'm talking about. (by the way, I was at your Game Craze on Saturday - were you working? damn you for not having Dawn of Sorrow in stock!) he posts a random picture on board 8 daily, one of the highlights of board 8 every day. he'a also silly enough to hold debates with me over stupid crap, like whether the toast or the toaster came first. oli rocks like that. --- xyzzy |
