Nobody looks like what you'd expect. I can't remember a single occasion
where someone released a pic and everyone said "I expected you to look
like that!". Really, you're just too used to people on message boards being...text. |

24 - therealmnm highly respected stat topic vet. doesn't socialize on the rest of the board all that much, but he's plenty social in the actual stats topics. makes great posts usually supported by numbers or solid reasoning. when mnm writes a wall of text about something, I make sure to read it. mnm and I are good friends because we both like a lot of the same things - basketball, Xenogears, Super Metroid and a few other random things that don't immediately come to mind. plus we're both older and love talking about old NES games or stupid cartoons that existed in the 80's. mnm's one "board project" was his top 50 games list, which was a fun read. it's really too bad that he doesn't socialize much outside of the stats topic, because he's one of the coolest guys on the board. --- xyzzy |

some of his SCCC FF5 stuff boggles my mind, much moreso than the FFT stuff does. I'd say the FFT scene is much more insane... ND might have the most active alts on the entire site at this point as well. Eh... maybe, but most of them haven't signed in for months. And Luster has been back at it from what I've seen, so yeah... Luster. it seems like he used to be a GF whore but has cut back significantly in the past year or so. he definitely knows the ins and outs of GameFAQs Oh, I was ridiculous about this site. Back in the day when I first joined I'd just hang out with people, get high, come home, play FFV and go to GFAQs. I quit the drugs over a year ago and totally blame that for the cutting back. and seems very knowledgable about computers. Computer science major for the something or other !! oh, and his naked picture he posted today gets a serious "uhhh" from me !! just a cool guy to converse with. Perfectly understandable. 23 - ExThaNemesis Ex is like an old friend to me because we talk so rarely these days. once every month or two I'll pop on AIM and he'll message me and it'll feel like old times. Ex is a huge sports and wrestling fan, and his silly RKO thing is what he's probably best known for. he's extremely competitive and loves winners. I cannot think of a single thing Ex likes that's known for being a loser. St. Louis, the Yankees, Duke.. all champions at some point recently. that's just how he rolls. he's also known for being a massive FF7/Sephiroth fan. ExTha and I used to have a little mini-rivalry that spawned from a user tournament that I somehow beat him in, despite my being relatively new and him being the reigning User of the Year. I think people just got tired of seeing him win over and over and voted for me. since then, we'd fight back and forth playfully and play a nightly connect 4 match. I had this undefeated streak against him for the longest time until he beat me in a sig bet. stupid Dwyane Wade. Ex has rivalries with half the board though, so ours pretty much stays on the down low while stuff like HaRRicH and MYC are more "main event" stuff. ExTha is the first person on this list that I consider a good friend of mine. we're drastically different, but we still get along great. he needs to stop going on vacation and start hanging around here more. --- xyzzy |

I'd say the FFT scene is much more insane... I've never done either.. well, I did a solo game in FF5 once that was semi-challenging, but to you that would be "easy". FF5 just seems like a much harder game to me, so I would assume the solo games are harder. --- xyzzy |

by the end of the week if I got it or not). If I don't get that, then
there's several smaller venues that I'll be going for this semester
("Bent", "The Shape of Things", and "Closer", I believe, from the ones

Alright, lets do this! uhhh 28 - H4L187 H4L is a mass of contradictions to me. True! Yah, i REALLY dont know how i got here. Im pretty sure i came here for some random FAQ, and saw the contest, and got mad that there was no Madden or NHL in it. Yah, im pretty sure thats it. But im definitely very un-board 8 like, although i do have definite closet-nerdiness... he even tops Caelus in the drunk department, you just can't tell as much because he still manages to type reasonably. of course, his grammatical skills are wonky even when sober so you can't really expect much. Wonky grammar, and im an ENGLISH HONOURS MAJOR this year. Whats up now! I love Hal, he's funny as hell when he's drunk (which is usually). he'll start talking about his ass for no reason whatsoever and I'll be like "......what?!!!?!" TWICE!!! Just you wait, i'll turn Tranny Town into a big fat ass-fest! Oh, wow that sounds awkward... EC'll love it! Hal is a huge sports fan that loves the Packers and.. uh, some hockey team. maybe the Oilers, I don't know. it's hockey. I've never seen him discuss video games and I don't even know if he plays them. but damn is he entertaining. Yes, its the Flames you bastard, but nice call on the Packers (although it looks like they'll suck again this year) As for video games, im the epitome of casual gamer. The only time i play games are for mindless entertainment. I do more then enough thinking at school and trying to figure out for the millionth time why my ass is sore (I warned you!), or how someone so pretty (see pics) and stylish (again), not to mention modest cant keep a broad. That means that its tough for me to get into anything these days because they're SO ****ing COMPLICATED. I have no interest in exploring for hours, or figuring out puzzles, or crap like that.. which means that ohhh, 99.999% of games are not my style. I want to drive fast and crash occasionally (ala old school Need for Speed), play SIMPLE sports games where all you need to know is hit,pass,shoot and speed burst. Most importantly though, i want a ****ing shooter where i dont get bored in 5 minutes with all the jumping and stealth and crap. LET ME SHOOT THINGS! So yah, thats why i dont play many games these days. I LOVE old school (NES and SNES era, and alot of stuff from a few years ago, but there's very little that piques my interest these days... --- GO FLAMES GO!!!
