21 - Heroic Mario "Heroic Mario is actually a shared account between 35 selected board 8 members as a joke." - The n00b Avenger if I had to pick one person to represent board 8, it would be Mario. Heroic Mario is simply amazing. he's written some of the most famous posts in board 8 history. I think he's obsessed with games more than any other person on this board and lets everyone else know what he's into on a daily basis. he kind of has to, because he's going to be into something else the next day. HM likes games so damn much that his taste changes daily. he usually informs the board of what he's into at the moment, often with a 10 page essay. most of the board laughs at HM for his rapidly shifting taste (and rightly so), but it keeps the board talking about games and characters. I love HM's lists because the entire board pays attention and discusses whatever he's into at the moment. sure, they usually laugh at him and tell him his taste sucks for whatever reason, but his character lists are the only ones that get more than a few responses. HM has his hands on the gaming pulse as well, often making several topics a day regarding sales numbers or new announcements or whatever. there is nobody more popular on this board than Heroic Mario during E3. the entire board is thankful that he does this, especially those (hello) who never go to other gaming sites to check out news. there's nothing like HM during contest time. every contest, there's a match that Heroic Mario dedicated 100,000 characters to that ends up being a miserable failure. his 2k3 concession speech about Crono beating Mario is one of the most famous topics in the board's history (and was my first ever day on this board). in Sp2k4, he had an all-Zelda final four if I remember right. sc2k4, he supported Mega Man to win the entire thing, and he looked good until Link utterly destroyed him. in sc2k5, it was Cloud > Link all the time. last contest, Star Ocean > Pokemon. this year, it's Ganondorf > Sonic. he currently has an account bet with Sir Chris regarding Ganondorf / Sonic. I beg you, man - do not bet the most famous account in board 8 history on this. want to see what your account started? http://youreliteness.thengamer.com/gfusers/browse.php?username=heroic&mode=normal you don't bet Heroic Mario (and Tatsumaki Sempepnuuuu, but who cares about that !!) on Ganondorf, man! this whole thing reminds me of Mega Man in 2k4 - Ganondorf impressing vs. Vincent, big hype going into the match and he lays an egg vs. Sonic. I don't care if TP releases on the day of the match, I'd still take Sonic. Sir Chris is becoming the most feared man on the board, first taking our best predictor's account and now the most famous one. Heroic Mario is essential board 8. he may be insane or obsessed or whatever, but he's still an amazing poster and maybe the most influential one on the board. --- xyzzy |

Actually, I don't recall if he ACTUALLY had it winning or not (I seem
to recall him saying he actually did have FFVII winning). He just did a
long write-up like he did for Mega Man in SC2K4, predicting CT's path
