Ed is probably the most widely liked user on this board (at least
among those that are familiar with him). I literally can't think of ONE
reason to dislike him. --- Commit it to memory. |

IT BEGINS 5 - HaRRicH the single thing that I miss the most about 2k5 is HRRH being social all over the board. I'm pretty sure he was my single favourite user of 2k5. HRRH is smart, witty and funny all at once. I absolutely love reading his posts, particularly in the stats topics. when I was new here, I mostly just read and posted in the stats topics for a few months. HRRH was the one person that would explain stuff to a newbie like me and I almost found myself agreeing with his posts. HRRH just exploded in Summer 2005 once he started going after ExTha because of their impending second round match in Mastermage's top 64 bracket. oh man, he was ruthless. HRRH was better than AT for about a month - every single day he had something new. one day, he was photoshopping n64 wrestlers, the next he was insulting Ex's manhood. ExTha is good at giving back, but HRRH just dominated him in the trash talking department, as evidenced by HRRH's 30-25 win and subsequent loss to SHINE in later rounds. HRRH's "pity vote for ExTha" still lives on today. god, that was so awesome. you know it was good when Ex still goes after him a full year later. I remember this one line he threw at icon once (paraphrased) - "similar to HK-47, Sora doubles you in wang size." ouch. HRRH is just badass. I mean, he shattered a kid's testicle. HRRH used to run a semi-regular "fourpack of fun" topic where he would throw together a fourpack and the board would debate it. I'm not sure that anybody thinks about the contest more than him, so he always had good matches and good points involving his fourpacks. about eight or something months ago, he created his own board, Rad Action Pack, where people go and make their own. a few of us stats topics regulars go there daily and debate a couple of matches a day. still, I kinda miss it being on the board 8. I think you should make up one or two and post them here just to see what others think, especially since it's contest season. these days, HRRH mostly hangs out in the stats topics and only posts a couple times a day. this topic has brought him out of hiding, but it's pretty rare to find a HRRH sighting on the board. I don't really know what he's up to these days - acting? myspace? - but he's just not around nearly as much and unfortunately I don't see that changing. too bad, because if he was around more I would have no problem putting him #1. --- xyzzy |

ExTha is good at giving back, but HRRH just dominated him in the trash
talking department Well the whole point was that I was reigning USB2 Champion, Reigning user of the year, and I had just won the ertyu contest, so who the hell would have thought I'd lose in the 2nd round to HaRRicH?! And the only reason he dominated me in trash talking before the match was because I didn't take it seriously!! Also, in the rematch, I beat HaRRich by Six votes. --- Put 3 CDs, a blender, two forks, and an action figure in the microwave with your GBA SP. Well the whole point was that I was reigning USB2 Champion, Reigning user of the year, and I had just won the ertyu contest, so who the hell would have thought I'd lose in the 2nd round to HaRRicH?! Loads of excuses...oh, and you mean the contest I didn't know about until, like, the day of the contest and you sent me a link to it just so I heard about it? With the smaller vote totals? Since we're talking about six votes though, I'll talk six votes for you: you had six pity-votes go in your favor in the first match, buddy. 4 - windmage ahh, my internet girlfriend. you are one of only two people on GF that I talk to off the site on a regular basis. I spend more time with you than pretty much anybody on the internet. I dig you like a shovel, but you know that. you and I, oddly, are completely different. despite you and I having the same gaming genre as our favourite (RPGs), we almost never agree on anything involving them. characters? ha. games? once and a while we'll overlap, but that's freaking rare. even when we do overlap, it's for different reasons. you also like completely different music than me and we act nothing alike. anybody that saw you and I talking would wonder why we're friends. our fundamental personality is the same though. if something happens to one of us in real life, your reaction is usually the same as mine and vice versa. same thing for if one of us gets introspective. if there's some drama on the internet, we'll both sit back, watch it and giggle together. I imagine the way we act in real life in pretty similar too. you're also queen of the RPGDL and love the hell out of fictional characters, be they from video games or tv or whatever. you'll write a full essay on why Delita kicks ass or how hot Shu or Nigredo is. you and I usually disagree on these, but I'm pretty apathetic to fictional characters in general so it's all good. you're a huge fan of obscure RPGs, especially grid-based strategy RPGs like FFT or Tactics Ogre. (yay for the latter!) you also love those silly save my contests, especially when drama breaks out in them. I probably should put you #1. why didn't I? well, I almost never see you on board 8 unless it's in a contest or the rare social topic. you mostly stick to just watching things here, which is fine. in some ways, you're not even a board 8er to me because we usually talk about other stuff. if you posted here more, you probably would be. --- xyzzy |
