Kay, some comments. The biggest surprise for me on the list was how high Icon is. Not because Icon isn't awesome or because I didn't know how much tranny liked Icon, but because Icon to me has always seemed one of those "aloof" users (like AT) who doesn't often get personal in board interactions, which is what I figured the majority of tranny's top 10 would be. My early predictions for the top 10 were Josh, windy, Sine, cro (before I knew he wouldn't be on) and Eggers. Makes me want to get to know Icon better, really. I felt like the writeups were generally spot-on. I also find yoblazer to be one of the funniest users on the board; he's that rare poster to me who can do everything well, from analysis to writing to goofing off. Your positions for the vast majority of the people on the list would definitely mirror mine to a large degree if I ever did something like this, specifically the position of some "notable" users (Aeon > AT, for example), although I can think of at least two I'd put higher (Miaow and Sir Chris, and possibly Haste). As I said earlier elsewhere, I always enjoy your writing style because you can get across numerous points with just a few sentences, whereas I suffer from chronic verbosity. Your succinctness, I think, sets you apart in these types of topics. It's like cheesecake - it's so light and enjoyable that you don't really notice how much it filled you up until you think about it later. And once again I'm flattered about all the nice things you said about me. I don't think I'm nearly as funny as some of the people here, but I try. And I wouldn't really consider myself an "alt whore," considering how I only bust them out when the situation calls for it (although I guess that's what you said). So yeah. Awesome list, tranny. You make me want to do my own - and as I said before, given my stance on not ranking people, that's saying a lot. Hmm. I'm having trouble finding stuff by an artist. Mostly because I
can't spell his name, but he does seem to be in your range, transy. So.
Martan Tetro. Sound
familiar? He's a Montreal artist, done some colabs with people who I

oh and Ed, I don't go solely for personal interaction.. though I'd say
Icon and I do that more than 95% of the people on my list. you just

I know that they put out 3 CDs together back in 03/04 of a collection of a European tour, and that the three albums were (to quote Patti Schmidt) "one of loud stuff, one of weird, abstract stuff, and one of the quieter bits." Shoenin Kakashi - you and I simply run in different circles. you're
into fighting games, anime and hentai. I'm.. well, I don't really know
what I'm into, but it's not those. I do like FF4, but I like it for the
addicting gameplay as opposed to for hentai characters! I also like
SF2, but you'll never see me argue about it because I don't know that

Jay LV100 - yeah you're right, I don't know you. I have been paying
attention to our new people though and you are one of the better ones
I've seen. doesn't mean I know you well, just that some of them are..
well.. unique. so instead, I'll comment on your name. the first thing it makes me think of is Crono LV99 and the second, Jay from Tales of Legendia. I think your account is older than the game though, even the Japanese version, so that's probably not where it comes from. I don't understand Tales fans here - they love the hell out of Symphonia but very few people gave Legendia a chance. I know it wasn't reviewed all that highly, but I figure if you love a series you'd check it out regardless. I only see satai and SHINE and a couple others even mention Legendia. Pathetique - huh, hello there. where've you been? did you just get
bored with board 8 and stop coming here? that's what it seems like,
cause I rarely see you these days. what's with the new name? what was wrong with the old one, you just didn't like it? a lot of people grow to hate their username they made when they were 13 or something, but few people actually do anything about it. good man, I suppose, though I didn't mind Shadowdude. anyway, you're another person that has different tastes than me. if I recall, you like fanfiction a bunch, something I would never read. are you working on the FFP? I hope that's successful, even if I don't plan on reading a word of it. I like to see successful board projects because it usually keeps good people around the place. you're also a big MGS fan, and I think you have pretty 'conventional' taste as well - CT, FF7, Zelda, etc etc. I've seen you mention how your tastes are "cookie cutter" in the stats topics before. nothing wrong with that, no matter what Karma Hunter tries to convince you of. anyway, welcome back. --- xyzzy |

That's usually the impression I get when people talk about how they remember first making a friend on here or somesuch. Though to be fair, as much as I like the place, and spent manyhours on B8 mostly lurking, I've also had longer peridos where I've simply had better propositions for my time (under threat of prolonged abstinence and heartbreak). That, and the only people that really appeal to me are the older users - which is why I tend to click a lot on your topics tranny - because I just don't get them kids these days what with their pokey and their... er yeah =P --- Einstein would turn over in his grave.
