you want predictions? fine. any top ten without Joshua is a joke, hell any top 5. Heroic Mario is Mr. Board 8 as far as I'm concerned. if you're going for 'most dramatic user', then you have to include Smurf and Vlado. Inviso too, though her dramatic days seem behind her. pikaness too. perhaps SHINE, definitely Icon. if satai is on, so is Lopen. Leonhart is a top ten no matter what, even though he seems to come and go daily. if Rikku's on, so is Aeon, which means AT might make it if you don't mind his low post count this year. I know you're hot for Karma Hunter, so him too. Miaow and Horatio? maybe, but they're so absent these days. RX7 would have a shot for WWYD, I know you loved that. perhaps Moltar or cn for stats and analysis. EC and Sess are doubtful, but I know you like them. oh, and Kleenex. --- yzzyx |

No honorable mentions. Too many users, trust me. I started with like
150 - that's what I mean when I say that the competition was fierce. I
also won't be saying if a user was close to making it or not; let's
assume that everybody that didn't was in that close pack of 100 that

25. SHINE GET 64 When "admission to being a girl" isn't even near the list of yearly accomplishments, you're doing something right. SHINE might be the most creative user on the board, except that his creativity is literally all over the place. He'll do long and organized topics like SHINEtest, with its many diverse and silly challenges, or the long-running "Kobe Bryant/Jack Bauer" topics during the character contest, but he'll also post daily updates on random crap involving the Wii (OMG FORECAST CHANNEL) and links to Pokemon intros and that damn Mega Man/Zero yaoi pic that was everywhere and pretty much all manner of random things. SHINE is always guaranteed to post something interesting, and as such he's one of the most silly and engaging users on the board. --- This was Ed Bellis. Rufus Shinra 18 took a shotgun to my bracket. I don't know what categories are left, but I nominate Contest Stats and
Discussion - Part 336 for something. I still have it saved in WordPad,
so there's no italics and sometimes it's hard to figure out who's
responding to who, but that was definitely one of the most entertaining
nights on the board for me. Someone said in the last topic that the
Series Contest brought out the worst in everyone, and nothing made it
more evident that this topic. Here was the night before the Series Final, Mario was seriously impressing against FF and the Final was still in doubt, and everyone was arguing about NSMB, or they were arguing about arguing or something. Regardless, it was the closest the Stats Topic ever came to falling apart (which seems to be a yearly occurrence) and it was at times both hilarious and painful to watch. I always see these lists and wish I could be on them, but then I realize I haven't been here since Twilight Princess was released, and I'm too lazy to contribute that much, although I do plan to write a History of the Stats Topics at some time. I've been thinking of writing a sort of "history from the sidelines"
one of these days, but everytime I get inspired, I spend an hour
looking at stuff and realizing that I've forgotten most of the

Yeah, the rest of the list will be interesting - I definitely expect to

24. DSRage Most improved user of the year. At the year's onset, DSRage was in contention for "worst user of the year" - easily exciteable, overly hyper, obnoxious, whiny, even a bit of a stalker (just ask tranny or Repus). And yet, somehow, he managed to... "grow up" as a user gradually throughout the year. DSRage is now one of the most likeable guys on the board. Even his initial detractors now seem to find it hard to say negative things about him. DSR is notorious for getting ideas for contests and then abandoning them - he tried giving away a DS, like, three times or so, and has fizzled out other ideas as well - but it's his genuine attempts (and they are genuine) attempts at being a nice guy to pretty much everybody that earn him a spot on the list.
