21. XxSoulxX Alyx Vance's best spokesman! The best thing about people who fall flat on their faces is when they can do it with a touch of class (LAWL ED BELLIS AWARD FOR SUCKING). One look at Soul's performance in the character contest seems to indicate that this was... something of the case. Soul had a habit of vehemently defending his picks for an extended period of time, which would inevitably result in him being horribly wrong; Alyx over Lara is one of the most notable, although there were plenty of others. Soul was also involved in some other really good stuff around the board. In response to the glut of user contests around Soul started a "back-to-basics" 128 User Contest, a refreshingly simple change of pace from all the gimmicky stuff going on at the time; the second contest, currently run by SuperSmash Master, is still ongoing. He also helped, along with eternal rival Explicit Content, get The Prince of Persia into the character contest (although he was really gunning for Fox McCloud). For a guy who never really talks about himself and isn't even around much any more, Soul left a really great impression on Board 8 this year. --- This was Ed Bellis.
