I wouldn't know, but bro seems really pissed. Last time I saw him, before he locked himself on his room and started eating chocolate in a particularly violent way, he was kicking the fridge and yelling "WE ARE TOO GOOD FOR YOU GAMEFAQS! TOO GOOD!" or something like that. >.>

Wow this topic goes blazingly fast over my work shift.

I like the list so far but I suppose I wouldn't but Alex there, or at least not that high. It's not that I don't like him, it's more that I find I've gone beyond that kind of post to the point that they just annoy me. More of smart Alex would be a good thing :)

And... wow again. It's humbling to see Winning Streak mentionned in the project list. I know it was not my brainchild but I've certainly adopted it. I do curse that I've had to take the imposed break, courtesy of a hectic life... but I have hopes version 2.0 will be successful. With the allowed return of the juggernauts it should be interesting.

So, Ed decided to repost an actually civil post to express his own thoughts on the issue. While that's kinda dodging answering (yet still giving me an idea about the reason), I have to give it to the guy for acting way more maturely than everyone who complained about me complaining.

Actually, neon gave you solid suggestions for what could be better about your little project, and many other people made good points as to its flaws, but then you abandoned the topic, as you would say, you "ran from the topic" lawlolol.

What I would do:
-every day, select a post as the VAPE winner, archive it and make a topic about it.
-maintain a discussion topic which keeps a tally of the people who've won
-at the end of the month, award one of the posts with an award for best post of the month
-do a year end award/ranking

Participation is difficult. Maybe voting for the award at the end of the month?

Also, more discussion. Having the posts simply be "Congrats to FFD for winning with this topic: -link-" doesn't really make me want to care. Right now, it just looks like a social topic with the occassional link to something you liked.

I can't give awards every day. What about days when I haven't read even a single particularly good post? (lol December.) The main topic is a discussion one, too, but yeah, good idea to actually copy/paste the winning posts and keep a tally there. VAPE of the month, yeah, I did have that in mind at first, but never did it. As for a year-end ranking, I think I'll do a top 10 or something like that for 2006 soon. I have to update the Wiki first and foremost, though, I'll try to do that this weekend.
